Terry Carruthers, owner of Creative Energy, possesses a Masters in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the University of East London, U.K.; is a LEED Accredited Professional and a BPI Certified Building Analyst and Shell Professional.
His Masters studies focused on renewable energy and green building technologies, areas which have interested him for many years. He has published books and peer-reviewed papers on natural history, bird ecology and distribution, and has consulted on the potential threat of wind farms to breeding raptors.
When he gets back to his native Ireland he continues his work on re-modelling his vintage 1910 house, the entrance lodge to one of the country's first TB hospitals in rural Cork.
Terry has recently been invited to teach a course at Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ, starting mid-January 2012. The title of the course is 'Global Sustainability - Local action, Global effect'.
